Recently, the Institution has been nominated for two consecutive years (2019 and 2020) for the prestigious Princesa de Asturias Award in recognition of its service to Valencian society and the quality of its educational innovation.

Colegio Imperial Niños Huérfanos San Vicente Ferrer is the oldest scholar institution in Europe, founded in 1410 at Valencia by Saint Vicente Ferrer to shelter orphaned children of the city. Also, his school was the first in Europe to enrol girls and teach them to read and write. Nowadays, the school is a modern and innovative educational centre that teaches a hundred orphans along with other children from the town of San Antonio de Benageber. Project-based learning and vertical and interdisciplinary comprehensive teaching are essential in its educational project.
